The day of Europe took place on the occasion of the celebrations of Europe. It was designed for pupils of 4. – 9. classes. It was the teamwork of pupils and teachers. At the beginning of representatives of pupil’s parliament select by lot one of the 27 member countries for their class. In the various teaching hours team of classes found the facts and interesting about the country in the form mistress helped with finishing. All data were processed so that pupils were able within a short 10 to 15 minutes of presentation’s time bring to the attention “their country” to others. The presentation took place during one whole week, always the first two lessons so that pupils can showcase the country to all other classes. Each team of class filled evaluation report (table) at the end of the project’s week. Each class gained from 0 to 10 points. Announcement of the best class’ presentations took place in the gym where they received the sweet awards.

European Day at the music school which took place on 27 May 2008 was organised by classes IIIx, IIIy, IV and V OSM II st (secondary music school). The subject of the debate was “European and National Culture – the Unity in Difference”.

The meeting lasted two hours. The participants had the right to choose the topic they wanted to discuss on condition that it was strictly related to the main subject. Most of authors showed an outline of Polish culture and customs from the times of establishing Poland as a country to contemporary times using as a keyword the sentence “What a foreigner should know about us.” Students talked about national and religious festivals and folk customs such as “Zielone Świątki” (Green Holidays), carols, “oczepiny”, the drowning of the Marzanna and others. The problem of Polish “Pawn but show off” as a model of contemporary hospitality, alcohol encroaching were mentioned not without some facetious tone. Students also emphasised the Polish habit of adoring women expressed by kissing on the hand and others.

A very interesting speech was given on the subject of European cuisine, especially Italian and French, and on that background the peculiarity of the Polish one with bigos, smalec and sour cucumbers which is becoming more and more popular. It is said that in London eating in Polish restaurants is fashionable.

The next subject was the story of Holy Grail on the base of the novel “Leonardo’s Code” by Brown. Together with the fiction the history of Christian religion as of the religion over nations and very important in the process of cultural integration of Europe was discussed.

The last speech given at the meeting was about the foundation of European culture which means ancient, Hebrew and Christian, Celtic and Germanic grounding. The young authors emphasised that as young citizens of Europe we have to have the consciousness of mutual political, economic social and cultural roots but that civilization processes occurred in Europe with different intensity in particular historic epochs. That caused, fortunately, a fascinating phenomenon of unity in difference.

Kultura europejska a kultura narodowa. Jedność w różnorodności.
Spotkanie trwało 2 godziny. Uczestnicy debaty mieli prawo do swobody w wyborze tematyki pod warunkiem, że była związana z tematem głównym. Większość autorów przedstawiła zarys kultury i obyczajów polskich od początków powstania państwa polskiego po czasy współczesne wg hasła – czego powinien dowiedzieć się o nas obcokrajowiec. Stąd mówiono o naszych świętach państwowych, religijnych i obrzędach pochodzenia ludowego – „Zielone Świątki”, „kolędy”, „oczepiny”, „topienie Marzanny” i innych. Żartobliwie poruszano też problem polskiego „zastaw się, a postaw się” jako modelu nowej gościnności, nadużywania alkoholu, itp. Akcentowano też nasz obyczaj adoracji kobiet, np. całowanie w rękę, itd.
Ciekawe wystąpienie dotyczyło charakterystyki kuchni europejskiej – zwłaszcza włoskiej i francuskiej, a na ich tle – specyfiki kuchni polskiej (z bigosem, smalcem, ogórkami kwaszonymi, itp.), która staje się coraz popularniejsza w Europie ( np. w Londynie jest wręcz moda na jadanie w polskich restauracjach).
Kolejny temat to historia św. Graala na kanwie książki Browna – „Kod Leonarda” (a „przy okazji” dawka historii chrześcijaństwa jako religii ponadnarodowej i bardzo ważnej w procesie integracji kulturowej Europy.
Zakończeniem spotkania był referat popularno-naukowy o filarach kultury europejskiej, tj. antycznym, judeochrześcijańskim, celtycko-germańskim i słowiańskim. Autorki podkreślały, że jako młodzi obywatele Europy musimy mieć świadomość wspólnych korzeni politycznych, ekonomicznych, społecznych, kulturalnych, ale procesy cywilizacyjne obejmowały Europę z różną intensywnością w poszczególnych epokach historycznych, co powodowało, na szczęście, bardzo fascynujące zjawisko „jedności w różnorodności”.

Naše Slovensko patrí do Európskej únie. Keďže sa veľmi nelíšime od ostatných európskych krajín, všetko by sa dalo pomenovať s predponou „euro“. Aj sme to vyskúšali. Vytvorili sme diela na túto tému – euromóda, eurošport, euronoviny, euromena…..

Dnes už aj úplne odzvonilo našej slovenskej korune. Od 1. januára 2009 je oficiálnym platidlom na našom území euro. Čo nám to prinesie – nevieme. Niektorí z nás dúfajú, že snáď budú mať väčšie vreckové… no veď uvidíme.

Den Evropy

Projekt „Den Evropy“ se uskutečnil u příležitosti oslav Dne Evropy. Byl určen pro žáky 4. až 9.tříd. Jednalo se o společnou práci žáků a učitelů. Na začátku si zástupci žákovského parlamentu

vylosovali pro svoji třídu jednu z 27 členských zemí. Kolektivy tříd pak v různých vyučovacích hodinách připravovaly zajímavé informace o dané zemi. S konečnými úpravami jim pomáhaly třídní učitelky. Všechny údaje byly zpracovány tak, aby žáci byli schopni během krátké 10 až 15 minutové doby prezentace představit „svoji“ zemi ostatním třídám. Jednotlivé prezentace probíhaly během celého jednoho týdne, vždy první dvě vyučovací hodiny tak, aby mohli žáci předvést danou zemi všem ostatním třídám. Na konci projektového týdne vyplnil každý třídní kolektiv hodnotící tabulku. Každá třída mohla získat od 0 do 10 bodů. Vyhlášení nejlepších třídních prezentací proběhlo v tělocvičně, kde byly předány sladké odměny.
